Single-Mass Resonant Vibrating Conveyor

UHM’s DSL resonant vibrating conveyors use single-mass technology for long-distance, low-power transport. Ideal for fragile and abrasive materials, saving 50% energy.

ADVANCED TWO-MASS RESONANCE TECHNOLOGY

DSL Single-Mass Resonant Vibrating Conveyor

The DSL Single-Mass Resonant Vibrating Conveyor is a high-efficiency transport solution engineered based on the principles of near-resonant dynamics. It balances structural simplicity with heavy-duty durability, utilizing the directional vibration of a single mass to achieve efficient material displacement. The design is remarkably compact, with minimal maintenance points. Furthermore, the lubrication system is completely isolated from the material conveying zone, fundamentally eliminating any risk of grease contamination.

Compared to the PSL Fully Balanced Vibrating Conveyor, the DSL model shares a core technological DNA: both are elastic systems driven by connecting rods designed to solve long-distance, low-energy consumption challenges. While the DSL model transmits slightly higher dynamic loads to the foundation than the PSL, it remains the preferred choice for industries such as power generation, coal, and construction materials due to its superior cost-effectiveness and exceptional reliability on solid ground foundations.

Note: The DSL model is a cost-effective alternative to the PSL series, optimized for ground-floor installations where its high-efficiency resonant drive can be fully utilized without the need for complex balancing frames.

How Does It Work?

The operational logic of the DSL model is built upon “elastic coupling drive” technology. The motor drives an eccentric shaft via a belt transmission, but the resulting reciprocating force is not applied rigidly to the trough. Instead, it is transmitted through a set of high-performance drive springs. This design, identical to that of the PSL Fully Balanced Vibrating Conveyor, effectively buffers the immense inertia during startup, protecting the motor and drive shaft from mechanical stress.

Guided by the rocker arms (guide rods), the trough generates a reciprocating vibration at a specific angle. Operating in a near-resonant state, the main shock-absorbing springs periodically store and release elastic potential energy, allowing the system to maintain a stable amplitude with minimal input power. Materials inside the trough follow a parabolic trajectory, moving forward in continuous hops. This “tossing” motion is a hallmark of both models, ensuring that materials have almost no sliding friction against the trough bottom, which significantly extends the service life of the equipment.

Note: By utilizing the “tossing” motion instead of sliding, the DSL conveyor reduces trough wear by over 300% compared to screw conveyors, making it the ideal choice for highly abrasive industrial materials.

What Are Its Uses?

Due to its gentle handling and high-sealing capabilities, the DSL model shares wide application versatility with the PSL Fully Balanced Vibrating Conveyor. In the food processing industry, it is the ideal equipment for transporting fragile items such as wet sugar, potato chips, and biscuits, as it preserves the crystalline structure and shape of the product without mechanical degradation.

In heavy industries, when handling dusty materials like fly ash, carbon powder, or cement, both models can utilize a fully enclosed trough design to ensure a clean, dust-free environment. For highly abrasive materials like emery or grinding balls, this non-friction conveying method extends the trough’s lifespan by more than three times compared to conventional screw conveyors. Together, these models serve as a critical link between storage silos and downstream equipment, capable of frequent starts and long-term continuous operation under harsh conditions.

Note: The dust-tight enclosure option makes this equipment suitable for hazardous or volatile materials, ensuring both environmental safety and material purity during long-distance transfers.

Conveying Characteristics

The conveying characteristic of the PSL Fully Balanced Vibrating Conveyor is its ability to perform precise material grading while completing material displacement. During the conveying process, users can install screens within the trough according to process requirements.

While common material conveying requires additional sorting equipment, the PSL conveyor utilizes its stable vibration frequency to achieve online material grading concurrently with transport. This integrated design greatly simplifies production line configurations and enhances overall operational efficiency.

The PSL conveyor stands out in integrated production line applications due to its multi-functional integration, grading accuracy, and smooth material flow.

Note: In the video, materials separate rapidly through the grading ports while moving forward; the conveying and grading processes are precise and seamless.

What Are the Advantages?

The advantage of the PSL Fully Balanced Vibrating Conveyor lies in its exceptional low-noise performance and unparalleled vibration reduction. When operating on high-floor levels or steel structures, it exerts minimal impact on the architectural integrity.

While common vibrating equipment is often restricted by installation location, the PSL conveyor is suitable for long-distance and wide-trough requirements, demonstrating superior adaptability especially when installed on floor slabs or steel supports. The dynamic load transmitted to the foundation is extremely small, effectively extending the lifespan of the building.

UHM PSL conveyors stand out in high-end manufacturing applications due to their structural durability, extremely low maintenance costs, and eco-friendly performance.

Note: Compared to traditional models, the vibration reduction advantage of the PSL allows it to be installed in sensitive areas where conventional Vibrating equipment cannot function.

Applications

The application scenarios for the PSL Fully Balanced Vibrating Conveyor cover industries such as food, chemicals, and building materials that have high standards for vibration control. In the actual conveying process, it serves as a powerful tool to resolve resonance issues in factory buildings.

While common industrial sites often suffer from support fatigue caused by equipment vibration, the PSL conveyor, through its fully balanced dynamic design, perfectly adapts to automated lines requiring cross-floor, long-distance, and low-noise operation. It is not just a conveying tool, but a guarantee for production environment protection.

UHM’s industry-leading technical expertise, the high-precision performance of the PSL series, and its excellent system compatibility make it stand out in complex automated integration projects.

Note: In the video, pre-painted sensitive materials slide smoothly through the PSL conveying trough; the trough and balance body resonate perfectly, leaving no marks or scratches on the surface.
