PSLS
Fully Balanced Vibrating Screen

A revolutionary screening solution designed with full counter-balance technology to ensure maximum structural stability and minimal vibration transfer to supporting mezzanines.

Excellence in Three-Mass Balancing Technology

PSLS Type Fully Balanced Vibrating Screen

The Perfect Combination of Long-Distance Conveying and Precise Screening

The PSLS Vibrating Screen/Sifter is a high-end vibrating machine driven by a balanced three-mass elastic connecting rod system. Specifically engineered for horizontal or low-inclination (≤5°) working conditions , this model simultaneously delivers highly efficient conveying and precise screening for loose bulk, lumpy, or granular materials over long distances.

Thanks to its unique three-mass (conveying trough, balance frame, and base frame) dynamic design, the PSLS series is widely utilized across various industries, including grain processing, chemical engineering, building materials, and pharmaceutical production. It not only provides exceptional trough widths and high load capacities but also achieves extremely low energy consumption and minimal noise levels by leveraging the principles of resonance.

Shared Balancing Technology Advantages with the PSL Series

The core technology of the PSLS model is derived from our signature PSL Fully Balanced Series. Its three-mass balancing system effectively counteracts the inertial forces generated during operation. Most of the vibrational energy is converted internally between the mass blocks, leaving minimal dynamic force transmitted to the installation foundation. Consequently, the equipment can be safely installed on structural steel platforms or unreinforced foundations, significantly reducing workshop construction and installation costs.

How Does It Work?

Forced Vibration & Energy Recovery

The PSLS balanced vibrating screen guides the conveying trough to perform simple harmonic motion in a predetermined direction via an eccentric connecting rod drive assembly. As the drive system transmits power to the entire vibrating setup, the connecting rod springs work in tandem with the main isolation springs to store and release energy. Once the acceleration reaches the designated value, the material undergoes continuous, micro-throwing motions along the direction of travel inside the trough, resulting in forward advancement.

Synergy of Precision Components

  • Conveying Trough: Directly contacts the material to complete both conveying and screening operations.
  • Balance Frame: Vibrates in the opposite direction of the conveying trough to counteract inertial forces.
  • Oscillating Lever: Ensures a precise linear motion trajectory.
  • Damping Spring System: Further isolates residual vibrations to protect the foundation.

Note: This structural synergy ensures that the machine shuts down extremely quickly and smoothly, completely eliminating the violent shaking commonly seen in conventional equipment when passing through the resonance zone.

What Are Its Uses?

Ideal Choice for Grain, Construction Materials, and Chemicals

  • Grain & Pharmaceuticals: Utilizes a multi-deck screening structure for material impurity removal and grading. The fully enclosed design guarantees zero contamination and dust-free operations.
  • Building Materials: Reliably conveys highly abrasive materials like sand, gravel, and gypsum. Its durability far exceeds that of traditional belt conveyors.
  • High-Floor / Steel Platform Installations: Due to its minimal dynamic load, it is the premier choice when long-distance screening and conveying are required above ground level.

Flexible Installation Configurations

The PSLS supports multi-section coupling, allowing it to be custom-tailored to the exact length of your workshop. Discharge ports can be fitted with straight, side-inclined, or downward-curved gates, and the system fully supports multi-point intermediate discharging. This exceptional flexibility allows it to seamlessly integrate into various production stages.

What is the greatest structural advantage of the PSLS compared to conventional vibrating screens?

The PSLS features a three-mass balanced design. While conventional vibrating screens pass massive dynamic loads directly into the ground, the PSLS counteracts the vast majority of exciting forces through the counter-vibration of its internal balance frame. This enables longer conveying distances and minimal installation requirements, making it ideal for high-floor or steel platform setups.

What are the key maintenance requirements for this equipment?

Benefiting from the elastic connecting rod drive, mechanical wear on the PSLS is minimal. Maintenance focuses primarily on lubrication and spring inspections:

  • Lubrication: It is recommended to inject lithium-based grease into the eccentric bearings every two months (shortened to one month during high-temperature seasons).
  • Springs: When replacing connecting rod springs or oscillating lever springs, original factory specifications must be strictly followed to maintain the system’s resonance balance.

How do you ensure smooth operation in multi-section coupled conveyors?

For long-distance, multi-section coupled PSLS systems, the installation sequence is critical. Alignment must be adjusted sequentially from the inlet/outlet ends, using shims to control the base frame gaps within $\pm\text{0.5 mm}$. This precise alignment prevents excessive pre-deformation of the main vibration springs, thereby extending the lifespan of the elastic components and ensuring uniform amplitude across the entire unit.

💡 Technical Tip: When starting up the PSLS, the V-belt should not be over-tightened—just tight enough to prevent slipping. This effectively protects the motor and extends belt longevity.
